A Young Man Killed and a Young Woman Injured in Two Separate Traffic Accidents in the Occupied Territory
SadaNews - Two serious accidents occurred early this Wednesday, one in southern occupied Palestine and the other in the city of Nazareth, resulting in the death of a young man and severe injuries to a young woman.
In the first accident, 26-year-old Basel Al-Muhdhi, a resident of the Negev, lost his life after the truck he was driving overturned on Highway 6 in the southern region.
Ambulance crews from Magen David Adom arrived at the scene, but they had to declare his death on site after it was confirmed that he had succumbed to his severe injuries. In turn, the police began investigating the circumstances of the incident.
In a separate incident in the city of Nazareth, a 30-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after being hit by a truck in the early hours of dawn.
According to a statement from Magen David Adom, a report was received at the emergency center 101 in the Galilee region at 01:58 regarding a woman involved in a hit-and-run accident.
Upon the arrival of the medical teams at the scene, they found the injured woman lying on the side of the road, unconscious and suffering from a severe head injury.
Paramedic Rahel Saitz said: "We saw the woman lying on the side of the road, she was unconscious and suffered from a serious head injury. We provided her with life-saving treatment, and she was then transported to the English Hospital in Nazareth in unstable condition."
These incidents highlight once again the dangers of road accidents, especially those involving trucks, and the urgent need to enhance traffic safety measures.
