Death of a Citizen in Lod and Serious Injury in Baqa al-Gharbiyye

SadaNews - The Arab community witnessed a new wave of bloody violence in recent hours, resulting in the deaths of three people, including a young man in his thirties, while another man sustained very serious injuries after leaving the mosque at dawn in Baqa al-Gharbiyye.

In the city of Lod, a young man about 30 years old was killed as a result of being shot while inside his vehicle.

A spokesperson for Magen David Adom stated that ambulance teams quickly arrived at the scene, where the young man was found with penetrating wounds, unconscious, and without pulse or breath.

Paramedic Mandi Amitai from the motorcycle unit explained: "We saw a chaotic scene, and they led us to the injured. After conducting medical examinations, we had to declare his death at the scene, as his injuries were extremely severe".

In another incident that occurred early Wednesday morning in the city of Baqa al-Gharbiyye, a man in his fifties was seriously injured after being shot directly when he left the mosque after performing the dawn prayer.

According to a statement from Magen David Adom, a report was received at 5:02 AM regarding the incident, and an ambulance crew rushed to the location. The paramedics provided initial treatment to the man before transferring him to "Hillel Yaffe" Hospital in the city of Hadera, and his condition was described as serious but stable, as the injured was conscious and suffering from penetrating injuries.

These two crimes come just hours after two separate murders that occurred on Tuesday evening; the first in the city of Jaffa where As'ad Kabha, a man in his fifties, was killed by gunfire.

The second crime took place in the Negev area, where a woman was found unconscious in a wadi along Route 80 near the town of Ara'ra. After medical teams failed to save her, her death was announced at the scene.

Thus, the toll of murder victims in the Arab community since the beginning of this year has risen to 146, including 11 women, in a disturbing escalation of widespread violence amid the failure of law enforcement authorities to curb it.
