Jaffa: Citizen Sami Wuhash Killed in Shooting Incident

SadaNews - Sami Mohamed Wuhash (60 years old) was killed in a shooting incident that took place in the city of Jaffa late Saturday to Sunday. With this crime, the death toll in the Arab community since the beginning of the year has risen to 140.

 

A medical team from "Magen David Adom" was called to the crime scene, and they had no choice but to declare the victim's death due to his critical injuries.

According to the medical team, the victim was "found on the street next to a bench, unconscious from a gunshot wound. He showed no signs of life, had no pulse, and was not breathing. After examining him medically, we had to announce his death on the spot."

The police stated that they have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the crime, noting that the background is criminal, but they have not announced the arrest of any suspects.

This comes amid a rise in crime in the Arab community, alongside alleged inaction by the Israeli police, which borders on complicity with criminal organizations, and a lack of government plans to combat crime.

With this crime, the death toll from murder in the Arab community since the beginning of this year has reached 140, including 10 women, according to official data.

Statistics show that 120 of the victims were killed by gunfire, 69 of whom were 30 years old or younger, and 3 victims were under 18 years old, while 9 were killed by police officers.

In the corresponding period last year, the killing of 106 people in circumstances related to crime and violence was recorded, indicating a continuous rise in crime in the Arab community.

The year 2024 has recorded the deaths of 221 people in the Arab community, compared to 222 murders recorded in 2023.
