The Palestinian Authority for Prisoners and the Intelligence Service Along with the Prisoners' Club Welcome a Number of Released Prisoners Who Have Transitioned Their Hosting from Egypt to Turkey
SadaNews - Upon the directives of President Mahmoud Abbas, and through direct follow-up by Minister Major General Majid Faraj, head of the General Intelligence Service, Raed Abu Homs, the head of the Commission of Detainees and Released Prisoners, External Security and International Relations Director in the General Intelligence Service, Major General Naser Adwi, the Palestinian Ambassador to Turkey, Dr. Faed Mustafa, and the head of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, Abdullah Al-Zghari, welcomed today, Wednesday, a group of released prisoners who were exiled to the Arab Republic of Egypt and have now transitioned their hosting to Turkey.
This step comes as part of the cooperation and integration between the Commission, the General Intelligence Service, and the Prisoners' Club, forming a public policy that serves our freed prisoners and makes every possible effort to facilitate their return and achieve stability for them. The General Intelligence Service and its officers have exerted significant efforts over the past weeks in full cooperation and coordination with the Commission of Detainees and the Prisoners' Club, which led us to achieve the result of securing the relocation and reception of several of our brave released prisoners.
The three institutions confirm that this experience of joint work will serve as an actual starting point to address the issue of the detainees stuck in Cairo, and communications will be intensified with brotherly and friendly countries to secure their agreement to host released prisoners, noting that two-thirds of the exiled released prisoners are still hosted in Egypt's capital, Cairo.
The three institutions express their gratitude on behalf of the President and the Palestinian leadership to the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Turkey for hosting our exiled released prisoners. This indicates the humanitarian, moral, national, and religious responsibility of these nations that have taken it upon themselves to be at the forefront in supporting the struggles and sacrifices of the Palestinian people.
The institutions also call on brothers and friends in the regional and global environment to have the same readiness that the countries hosting our heroic released prisoners have, since their hosting and honoring represents a victory for the Palestinian cause in all its details, and a rejection of the Israeli occupation as the last occupation on the face of the earth.
