Nazareth: Attif Abu Jaber killed in a shooting incident

SadaNews - Attif Abu Jaber (71 years old) was killed in a shooting incident that occurred in the city of Nazareth, in the north of the country, this morning (Wednesday).

 

According to the police, an investigation has been launched into the "shooting incident in the city of Nazareth, which resulted in a person (71 years old) being critically injured, and he was transferred to the hospital where his death was announced."

They added that "upon receiving the report, police forces arrived at the scene and began an active search and sweep to locate the suspects, along with opening an investigation into the circumstances of the incident."

The police indicated that "the background is criminal, and the circumstances are under examination."

In the context of this,

last night, a young man, Anil Amun, in his twenties, was killed as a result of a shooting incident in the town of Yarka in the western Galilee.

This occurs amid an escalation of crime in the Arab community, alongside negligence from the Israeli police, which reaches the level of complicity with criminal organizations, and the absence of government plans to combat crime.

With this crime, the toll of murder victims in the Arab community since the beginning of 2025 has risen to 132 fatalities, including 9 women; according to official data.

Statistics show that 114 of the victims were killed by gunfire, and 71 of them were aged 30 or younger, while 8 were killed by police officers.

In the corresponding period of last year, 106 people were recorded as being killed in circumstances related to crime and violence, indicating the ongoing escalation of crime in the Arab community.

The year 2024 recorded the murder of 221 people in the Arab community, compared to 222 murders recorded in 2023.
