The Bayt Mal al-Quds Agency Implements the Second Phase of the Humanitarian Relief Campaign for Displaced Persons in Gaza City
SadaNews - The Bayt Mal al-Quds Agency carried out, yesterday Monday in Gaza City, the second phase of the Moroccan humanitarian relief campaign, with the contribution of the Moroccan Association for Supporting Reconstruction in Palestine.
The agency stated in a statement, "This operation, the second of its kind within two weeks, benefited hundreds of Palestinian families displaced from the north and east of the Gaza Strip, who live in one of the displacement camps under harsh humanitarian conditions."
It added, "Similar to the first phase of this operation, which was implemented on June 20 last, to benefit displaced families in the Mawasi Khan Younis area in the south of the Strip, the targeted families received food baskets that included flour, cooking oil, lentils, and beans, which were provided from local markets despite their scarcity and high prices."
The agency confirmed that this operation will continue through several phases over the coming weeks to benefit about a thousand Palestinian families distributed across different areas of the Strip, including the north, center, and south, depending on the complex security conditions and the dangers of movement within Palestinian territories due to the continuing Israeli airstrikes.
On this occasion, the beneficiaries of the campaign expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Moroccan monarch King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, for this honorable stand with the Palestinian people.
The beneficiaries also expressed their immense happiness and deep appreciation to the Kingdom of Morocco, the king, the government, and the people, for the support and assistance provided to them, affirming that this initiative met their needs during a very difficult time when these materials are scarce in the markets due to the blockade and amidst the extremely high prices of what is available.
