
Arrest of Suspect in the Murder of Tawfiq Abu Lashin After He Went to the Hospital in Nazareth
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation police announced today, Sunday, the arrest of a suspect in the murder of young Tawfiq Abu Lashin (25 years old) in the city of Nazareth, while he was receiving treatment at "Haemek" hospital, after fleeing the crime scene and later being involved in a traffic accident.
According to the police, "As part of the central unit's activity in the Northern District, a suspect in the murder of the late Tawfiq Abu Lashin was arrested while receiving treatment at Haemek hospital, having fled the crime scene and been involved in a traffic accident. He arrived to receive treatment after several hours on June 25. The police center received a report regarding a shooting incident on a person at a car wash in the city of Nazareth, which resulted in the death of the late Tawfiq Abu Lashin, age 25".
The police added that "forces from the Northern District police arrived at the scene and began investigative procedures and gathering evidence, alongside executing tracking activities for the suspects who fled the scene. It was found from the investigation materials that the main suspect fled the crime scene on a Timex motorcycle and collided with a parked vehicle, leading to a self-inflicted accident. After several hours, he went to Haemek hospital where he received treatment and was detained there on June 4".
The police pointed out that "on the same day, another suspect was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident. Based on the police's request, the detention of the suspects (34 and 31 years old) was extended until 2025/07/10-08 in the court."
The police also stated that "the investigation is still ongoing, as part of intensive efforts to reach all involved parties and bring them to justice."
