Mansour Sends Identical Messages to UN Officials Regarding Continued Occupation Violations

SadaNews - The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, sent three identical messages today, Friday, to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council for this month (Pakistan), and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, regarding Israel's escalation, the occupying power, in its aggression against Palestinians and its collective extermination without any deterrence or consequences.

Mansour noted in his messages the continued bombing by the occupying forces of what remains of cities, towns, and refugee camps in Gaza, the killing of children, women, and men, the assassination of doctors, journalists, and humanitarian workers, the obstruction of humanitarian aid, the starving of populations, and their forced and repeated displacement.

In this context, Mansour referred to Israel's ongoing actions in what is called the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," and the prevention of UN agencies and humanitarian organizations from accessing Gaza, despite global condemnation of this illegal scheme, noting that more than 550 citizens have been martyred and over 4,000 injured since this foundation began its operations in late May.

He indicated that the occupying soldiers and mercenaries of humanitarian relief forces deliberately shoot at unarmed civilians who approach so-called "aid distribution sites" in search of food, emphasizing the necessity of an immediate halt to this inhumane scheme and the need for full accountability for all these crimes, asserting that the number of victims until the second of this month exceeds 192,000 martyrs and injured, mostly children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals and starvation that has claimed many lives, including dozens of children.

Mansour confirmed Israel's continued targeting of doctors and journalists, mentioning the martyrdom of Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan, a renowned cardiologist and director of the Indonesian hospital, who was the seventy-first health worker killed by Israel in the past fifty days, in addition to more than 1,400 doctors, nurses, and paramedics who have been martyred since October 2023, in an Israeli attempt to blatantly destroy the health system in Gaza and reduce the chances of the population's survival. He also referenced the Israeli attack on June 30 on the Al-Baqa cafe with a 500-pound bomb, which resulted in the martyrdom of at least 36 citizens, including journalists, filmmakers, mothers, and children, and the injury of dozens.

He reviewed the ongoing attacks by the occupying power, its army, and terrorist settler gangs in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, aimed at forcing citizens to leave their lands, noting the settler attack on the village of Kafr Malik, which led to the martyrdom of three citizens and injuries to others, as well as the burning of homes and vehicles, and the suffering of Palestinian communities in Masafer Yatta, where an unjust Israeli decision was issued on June 18 to demolish and forcibly displace 12 villages in the area.

Mansour also pointed to the suffering of tens of thousands of citizens from the hardships of forced displacement in the West Bank, denied shelter and limited access to aid and basic services, including healthcare and education.

He emphasized the necessity for an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, and the cessation of using food, water, medicine, and fuel as a weapon.

Mansour called for international community action to stop the wave of Israeli crimes against our people, affirming the need for all countries to take immediate and tangible measures to end genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and to terminate this illegal colonial occupation.
