Worker from Arraba Dies After Falling from Height in Afula
SadaNews - A worker from the town of Arraba in the Galilee died this morning, Thursday, after falling from a height while working at a construction site in the city of Afula, in the Marj Ibn Amer area, northern occupied Palestine.
The spokesperson for "Magen David Adom" reported that "at exactly 8:09 AM, a report was received at the ambulance center 101 in the Gilboa area about a worker falling from a high altitude while working at a construction site on Giora Yosfatl street in Afula. Paramedics from Magen David Adom are providing the necessary medical treatment, transferring the 40-year-old injured person to HaEmek Hospital in critical condition, while resuscitation efforts are ongoing."
The paramedics, Iman Younis and Shmuel Pinto, stated that "we were directed to the worker who was unconscious, with no pulse or breathing. We were informed that he fell from a great height while working. We began resuscitation operations including chest compressions and administering drugs, and then transported him to the Intensive Care Unit in Magen David Adom to the hospital in critical condition, while resuscitation efforts continue."
The medical teams later confirmed the worker's death.
The police opened a file to investigate the circumstances of the accident and notified representatives from the Ministry of Economy (Industry, Trade, and Employment) office.
