Hebrew Newspaper: Peace Council to Start Pilot Plan for Relocating Gazans to Humanitarian Areas

Translation by SadaNews - While Hebrew media has recently repeated reports about the recovery of Hamas and its military wing, the Qassam Brigades, the newspaper Yisrael Hayom reported on Tuesday evening that the "Peace Council" has launched a training program to manage safe humanitarian areas in parts of the Gaza Strip that are not under Hamas control.

The first area designated to receive unarmed civilians not affiliated with Hamas is expected to be the Tel al-Sultan area near Rafah, according to the newspaper, as translated by SadaNews.

International stabilization forces are expected to be deployed there, based in a facility created for them in a camp near the Gaza border, where these forces are expected to be equipped with non-lethal weapons to maintain order within the humanitarian areas, while the Israeli army continues to control and deepen its presence in areas outside the yellow line.

The humanitarian shelters will be supplied with medical and food assistance aimed at gradually reducing Hamas's control over the civilian population, step by step throughout the sector, according to the Hebrew newspaper.

According to the newspaper, the Peace Council has begun identifying locations in the surrounding areas of Gaza to establish large logistical centers that support the humanitarian shelters, including locations near the border fence.

This comes in addition to the camp that has already been built for the international stabilization forces, which are expected to arrive in Israel in the coming weeks before being deployed inside Gaza.

These steps are described as a significant advancement towards implementing the Trump Plan, despite Hamas's ongoing refusal to disarm.

The plan is also considered an actual implementation of Article 17 of the Trump Plan, paving the way for what officials describe as a temporary reconstruction process in the areas evacuated from Hamas.

According to senior officials, no cement will be brought in for the reconstruction of Gaza; instead, temporary housing units (caravans) will be used, along with medical services and other basic services for civilians settling in those areas.
