Jerusalem Water Authority Continues to Upgrade Its Network in Kafr Ni'ma and Prepares to Serve Expanding Urban Areas

SadaNews - The Jerusalem Water Authority continues to implement its plans aimed at rehabilitating the water network in the village of Kafr Ni'ma, west of Ramallah and Al-Bireh. Over the past four years, it has completed a series of vital projects to rehabilitate the network through its own budget, in cooperation with the Kafr Ni'ma Village Council.

These projects are part of enhancing the partnership with the Kafr Ni'ma Village Council, which is considered a strategic partner for the authority. This cooperation has contributed to improving the efficiency of the water network, reducing losses, and enhancing the sustainability of supply, ensuring that water reaches citizens more efficiently and reliably across various neighborhoods of the village.

As part of its ongoing efforts to develop the infrastructure of the water sector in the village, the authority has completed the design and licensing work for the entire water network in Kafr Ni'ma. It has also obtained preliminary approvals for rehabilitating the remaining parts of the network through the Palestinian Water Authority, under a cabinet decision supporting the rehabilitation projects for water networks in communities where losses exceed 30%.

The authority is currently following up to complete the procedures and obtain final approvals in preparation for launching the project tender and starting its implementation.

In a related context, the authority, through its own budget and in cooperation with the Kafr Ni'ma Village Council, is preparing to undertake expansion works for the water network by extending new lines in the urban expansion areas of the village, aiming to provide water services to new homes and facilities, and to keep pace with the rapid population and urban growth.

The Jerusalem Water Authority also extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the citizens committed to paying their water bills, confirming that this commitment forms a foundational pillar for the sustainability of water services, and directly contributes to enabling the authority to implement rehabilitation projects for the networks, expand them, improve their efficiency, and respond to the increasing needs of citizens.

The authority renews its call to all subscribers to continue paying their bills on time, as this has a direct impact on supporting its investments in infrastructure development, enhancing the quality of services, and ensuring their sustainability for future generations.
