Occupation Chokes off Sinjil Town North of Ramallah and Closes All Its Entrances
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces closed all the entrances to Sinjil town, north of Ramallah, early Wednesday morning.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces closed all the secondary and agricultural roads linking the town to neighboring villages using military bulldozers and earth mounds, which means completely isolating the town.
With this, the total number of roads and entrances closed by the occupation rises to 6 main entrances and 16 secondary and agricultural roads through iron gates, earth mounds, and stone barriers as part of the policy of tightening the siege and restricting the movement of residents.
For his part, the head of Sinjil Municipality, Mu'taz Abdul Rahman, confirmed in a press statement that the closure measures exacerbate the suffering of citizens and hinder the movement of patients, students, and workers, affecting various aspects of daily life.
He called on human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene urgently to stop the policy of collective punishment imposed on the town.
Abdul Rahman pointed out that the municipality continues to monitor the developments of the situation and document the violations as part of its efforts to defend the rights of citizens and maintain their steadfastness in the face of escalating occupation measures.
