The Palestinian Islamic Bank Sponsors the First International Palestinian Conference on Nursing and Midwifery 2026

SadaNews - Under the sponsorship of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, the activities of the First International Palestinian Conference on Nursing and Midwifery 2026 kicked off in Bethlehem, lasting for three days and organized by the Palestinian Nursing and Midwifery Association.

The conference was inaugurated with the participation of His Excellency Minister of Health Dr. Majid Abu Ramadan, His Excellency Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Farsin Shaheen, President of the Nursing and Midwifery Association Dr. Ibrahim Namoura, along with several heads of unions and partner international organizations. Representing the bank were the Assistant General Manager for branches Hatem Arinat, Assistant General Manager for banking operations Zaid Shuqair, Regional Manager for the South Ahmad Al-Harimi, and Director of the Public Relations and Communication Unit Mohammad Marar, along with several branch and office managers of the bank in the southern region, alongside a crowd of interested researchers and members of the general assembly of the association.

The conference includes several scientific sessions presented by researchers and specialists in fields relevant to those working in the nursing and midwifery sector.

The General Director of the Palestinian Islamic Bank Dr. Emad Al-Saadi stated that this sponsorship stems from the bank's commitment to support the health sector in all its forms, particularly scientific events that contribute to the development of health professions and cadres in Palestine, enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens and driving comprehensive health advancement.

Al-Saadi added: "The scientific sessions included in the conference, which feature researchers and specialists, will contribute to elevating the reality of the nursing and midwifery sector and improving the level of health services provided by its workers. This aligns with the bank's directions and the board's directives to support vital sectors, particularly the health and educational sectors."

Dr. Al-Saadi emphasized that the bank is keen to be a partner in scientific events and conferences to affirm its commitment to this role within its sustainable community responsibility program, stressing the necessity of joint efforts from all sectors to uplift the Palestinian reality and achieve sustainable development.

Al-Saadi explained that the bank's efforts to support the health sector also include direct annual support to dozens of hospitals and health centers across the homeland, the latest of which was supporting the equipment of 5 health centers in the Gaza Strip.

The sustainable community responsibility policy of the Palestinian Islamic Bank emphasizes the necessity of its active contribution to serving the community through building distinctive partnerships that contribute to enhancing the development and building process.
