On World Hearing Day.. Quds Bank Signs Partnership with Fikr Palestine to Support the National Hearing Project and Support Children in Gaza
SadaNews - Quds Bank has signed a strategic support agreement with Fikr Palestine Association, on the occasion of World Hearing Day, making this partnership a pioneering model for integration between the banking sector and civil society, reflecting its deep commitment to social responsibility and enhancing investment in the health of Palestinian children.
The agreement focuses on the national hearing screening project for newborns, which will be implemented in all hospitals across the homeland, aimed at early detection of hearing problems in children, enabling early therapeutic intervention and ensuring healthy and safe growth for them. Additionally, the partnership includes support for Fikr Palestine School's project in Gaza and the implementation of a series of community activities for children in Gaza.
The agreement was signed during a press conference attended by Minister of Health Dr. Majid Abu Ramadan, CEO of Quds Bank Muhammad Shawar, and President of Fikr Palestine Association Tareq Aroori along with several representatives from the private sector, where both sides emphasized the importance of the integration of roles between the banking sector and civil society institutions to enhance national initiatives with sustainable impact.
Muhammad Shawar, CEO of Quds Bank, stated: "We at Quds Bank believe that real investment begins with the individual, and that children's health and education form the foundation for any sustainable development. Our partnership with Fikr Palestine Association is not a one-time initiative, but a continuous strategic commitment for the past three years that reflects our vision of empowering future generations with equal opportunities for life and learning. This time, support includes the national newborn hearing screening project and support for Fikr Palestine School in Gaza for the third consecutive time, in addition to implementing community activities throughout the year in Gaza, where we aim to transform social responsibility from a concept of support to the concept of sustainable impact."
For his part, Tareq Aroori, President of Fikr Palestine Association, confirmed that this partnership represents an important step toward expanding the range of services provided to children and ensuring the sustainability of health and educational projects that meet their needs, especially under the current circumstances.
This agreement falls within Quds Bank's strategy aimed at enhancing its presence as a national financial institution that combines responsible banking performance with an active developmental role, through qualitative initiatives that contribute to creating a tangible and sustainable impact in the Palestinian community.
