SadaNews - The Palestinian Islamic Bank signed a partnership agreement with the Ramallah Municipality to contribute to supporting a series of events and programs that the municipality will implement during the year 2026 in partnership with several other private sector institutions.
The agreement was signed at the municipality's headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of the General Manager of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, Dr. Imad Al-Saadi, the Mayor of Ramallah, Mr. Issa Qsees, and representatives from other partner entities.
Al-Saadi stated that this agreement comes as part of the bank's program for sustainable community responsibility, as it will contribute to supporting a range of events and programs that the municipality will execute, varying from cultural, educational, environmental, social, and sports activities, all aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens and enhancing sustainable development.
He added: "We are keen in our community responsibility program to ensure that our contributions are effective and have a sustainable impact, and that they come within the framework of genuine partnerships with prominent actors. We take pride in what the Ramallah Municipality is implementing in terms of projects and achievements to develop the city despite all the circumstances and difficulties we are facing in Palestine."
For his part, Mayor Issa Qsees emphasized during his speech at the ceremony that these partnerships reflect the municipality's deep belief that sustainable development is a collective responsibility based on the integration of roles between the municipality, the private sector, and the local community. He said: "Our vision at the Ramallah Municipality is to keep the city optimistic, sustainable, and proud of its culture and identity, and this can only be achieved through genuine and effective partnerships."
Qsees added that the municipality values the role of every partner company and institution that has made social responsibility an intrinsic part of its mission, allocating part of its profits to support sustainable development programs, noting that the convergence of both parties' will embodies a practical model for cooperation between the public and private sectors, and enhances the partnership based on trust and shared commitment towards the community.
The policy of sustainable community responsibility of the Palestinian Islamic Bank emphasizes the necessity of its effective contribution to serving the community through building distinguished partnerships that contribute to enhancing the process of development and construction.
