The Banks Association Issues Issue (100) of the Magazine "Banks in Palestine"

SadaNews - The Banks Association in Palestine has issued issue (100) of the magazine "Banks in Palestine" amid highly complex national and economic conditions resulting from the aggression on the Gaza Strip and the escalation of assaults in the West Bank, along with significant pressures on the economy and the banking sector.

The issue addressed the effects of widespread destruction in Gaza, particularly the damage to bank branches and the difficulty of continuing banking services, while highlighting the resilience and adaptability of the Palestinian banking sector. It also shed light on the suffocating Israeli policies on the Palestinian economy, such as the detention of clearance funds, the prohibition of workers, tightening checkpoints, and pressure on banks through threats to cut banking relationships and the refusal to accept the surplus shekel held by banks.

The issue reviewed banking performance indicators, as bank assets reached approximately $27.6 billion and customer deposits $21.2 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2025, while non-performing loans remained at safe levels although they increased in Gaza.

The release of the hundredth issue is a culmination of a long journey of professionalism and credibility that the magazine has adopted in portraying the reality of the Palestinian banking sector, enhancing economic awareness among the public, and opening specialized discussions on issues of development and financial stability.

The issue has been published electronically and is available for viewing on the official website of the Banks Association in Palestine.
