Al-Quds Bank Receives the Turkish Ambassador to Palestine
SadaNews – The CEO of Al-Quds Bank, Mohammed Shawar, received the Turkish Ambassador to Palestine, Ismail Chobanaoglu, at the bank's headquarters in Ramallah, during an official visit dedicated to discussing ways to enhance economic and financial cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, Shawar highlighted the role of Al-Quds Bank in supporting its clients and developing its financial and banking services, emphasizing the bank's commitment to expanding its regional and international partnerships to enhance economic development and serve various segments of society.
The two parties also discussed future cooperation prospects, especially in the areas of digital transformation, banking service development, experience exchange, and facilitating individuals' and companies' access to secure and advanced financial services.
Additionally, the meeting emphasized the qualitative community role played by Al-Quds Bank and addressed the future of the reconstruction of Gaza, as well as the role of Palestinian banks in the next phase, especially concerning the plans of international organizations to provide direct cash support to affected families through banking systems.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador praised the vital role of Al-Quds Bank in the current circumstances, reinforcing financial stability and affirming his country's commitment to enhancing economic cooperation with Palestine, stating: "Turkey will continue to support Palestine and its people, and we will work together to ensure the provision of essential services and create conditions for economic recovery."
Both sides expressed their interest in enhancing cooperation in developing digital banking services in general, and enabling individuals to access liquidity and financial rights securely and organized.
The meeting concluded with the confirmation that protecting the Palestinian economy requires concerted regional and international efforts, and enhancing the banking sector's contribution to alleviating the humanitarian and economic burdens on citizens.
