The National Bank Launches the Third Edition of the "Start it Right" Program
SadaNews - The National Bank launches the third edition of the "Start it Right" program, which aims to enhance financial awareness and empower the younger generation with essential financial skills, as part of a vision that seeks to build a more sustainable professional and community future.
Director of Public Relations at the National Bank, Reem Anani, emphasized to SadaNews that the importance of this program lies in producing a financially and banking-literate generation capable of making better financial decisions in their future lives.
She pointed out that the bank continues its role in spreading financial and banking culture and contributing to enhancing financial inclusion among all segments of the community, especially the youth.
The training targets students from tenth to twelfth grade and lasts for four weeks, during which they cover basic banking concepts, proper financial planning, personal financial management, in addition to e-banking services. The first day of the program included a visit to the Monetary Authority, allowing students to closely learn about the role of the Monetary Authority in regulating and supervising the banking sector, as well as its mechanism for maintaining financial stability.
Meanwhile, school student Neelma Safi said in an interview with SadaNews: "Through the program, I learned how to manage my personal expenses and plan my financial goals correctly. It was an enjoyable and beneficial experience, especially since we learned about banking matters that we had heard about but didn’t understand practically."
She emphasized that what distinguishes the programs is that they cover the concepts practically alongside theoretical explanations.
Meanwhile, school student Jiris Estephan told SadaNews: "The "Start it Right" program opened our minds to new concepts such as saving and managing bank accounts, and how to use technology in banking transactions safely. I felt that we are preparing for university and the near professional future."
The National Bank, through the launch of the third and new edition of "Start it Right," aims to expand the program to include a larger number of schools across various provinces of the homeland.
