Banking Association Releases the Ninety-Ninth Issue of "Banks in Palestine" Magazine
SadaNews - The Banking Association in Palestine has released the ninety-ninth issue of its quarterly magazine "Banks in Palestine", which continues to highlight significant developments and economic and banking issues in Palestine and the region, through high-quality content that combines specialized analysis and deep critical insight.
This issue includes a special file, which is a study prepared by the Palestinian Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS) in cooperation with the Banking Association in Palestine, addressing Palestinian options to mitigate the repercussions of Israeli punitive financial and banking measures.
The study reviews the expected scenarios for correspondent banking relations and clarifies its impact on various banking and economic sectors.
In the interview feature, the Head of the Capital Market Authority, Mr. Ammar Al-Akhr, discusses the new insurance law project expected to be approved at the beginning of next year, noting that it will represent a qualitative leap in organizing the Palestinian insurance market by enhancing governance, safeguarding the rights of policyholders, and activating alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
In the "Everyone" section, the issue surveys the opinions of citizens and experts regarding the continued use of checks as a currency tool in the Palestinian market, between those who view it as a means that facilitates commercial activity and supports economic activity, and those who consider it a factor that exacerbates financial and social crises due to misuse.
The issue also includes a specialized article addressing three common misconceptions about the Palestinian banking sector, explaining that this sector has proven its ability to endure and hedge against crises, maintaining its financial stability despite the complex challenges facing the economic environment.
"Banks in Palestine" magazine, published quarterly since 1995, is one of the leading specialized economic media platforms in Palestine, aimed at providing researchers with the latest developments in the Palestinian banking sector.
