Completion of Lighting in the Tunnel Leading to Villages Northwest of Jerusalem.. "SadaNews" Completes Years of Darkness
SadaNews - Crews from the Jerusalem District Electricity Company began today, Sunday, September 28, 2025, to complete the lighting project for the vital tunnel connecting the town of Al-Jib and the town of Biddu, along with several villages northwest of Jerusalem, by installing modern lighting units aimed at ending the suffering of citizens with the darkness of the road that has persisted for years.
This vital project comes fully funded by the Jerusalem District Electricity Company, with direct oversight from its management, as part of its ongoing efforts to improve safety on the roads, facilitate the movement of citizens, and reduce the risks faced by drivers and pedestrians due to the lack of lighting.
The project is expected to be completed within three days, as engineering and technical crews continue their work around the clock to ensure the new network operates under the highest safety and quality standards, while special traffic arrangements are made to maintain smooth movement and protect road users.
In this context, the company urged drivers to adhere to safety guidelines and comply with appropriate speed while passing through the tunnel during the project's implementation to ensure their safety and the safety of the work teams.
The Jerusalem District Electricity Company reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to serving citizens and developing infrastructure that enhances their security and comfort, noting that this project is part of a series of initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life in the targeted areas.
