E-SADAD Platform Records 1.1 Million Electronic Bill Payment Transactions
SadaNews - The E-SADAD platform, managed by the Palestinian Monetary Authority, recorded a milestone with over 1.1 million electronic bill payment transactions in August of this year.
The Monetary Authority stated that the increase in citizens’ use of the platform and electronic payment methods reflects a strong trust in the electronic payment system developed by the Monetary Authority, which provides citizens with 24/7 payment services.
The E-SADAD platform is the exclusive national platform for displaying and paying bills electronically, covering over 150 billers across various sectors such as water, electricity, telecommunications, universities, insurance, and government services. The platform allows citizens to pay bills and fees electronically without any commissions or fees.
Governor of the Monetary Authority, Mr. Yahya Shanar, confirmed that this achievement reflects the increasing trust of citizens in the platform, pointing out the Authority’s commitment to expanding the inclusion of various governmental, civil, and private institutions in the platform to ensure citizens can complete their financial transactions electronically with ease and security. He noted that this development is part of the Monetary Authority's strategy to enhance digital transformation and expand the use of modern payment methods, contributing to the development of the national economy and promoting financial inclusion in Palestine, especially in light of current circumstances.
Shanar explained that the growing demand for the E-SADAD platform reflects citizens’ urgent need for technologies that facilitate efficient and secure financial transactions. He emphasized that the value of the platform is not limited to the volume of completed transactions but is also evident in the direct impact on citizens' lives, helping them save time and effort and complete their transactions electronically around the clock, even amid the difficult circumstances faced by our Palestinian people.
Shanar noted that the platform also serves as a strategic tool in reducing reliance on cash and enhancing transparency, operating according to the latest standards of electronic security, and is directly connected to all operating banks and electronic payment companies in Palestine, ensuring speed, accuracy, and confidentiality of the executed transactions.
