Launch of Electronic Payment Service for Justice Ministry Transactions via E-SADAD Platform

SadaNews - The Monetary Authority and the Ministry of Justice have launched a new service that allows citizens to pay justice ministry transaction fees electronically through the national bill presentation and payment platform E-SADAD, facilitating transaction completion without the need for cash.

An agreement for the Ministry of Justice's accession to the E-SADAD platform was signed between Monetary Authority Governor Yahya Shanour and Minister of Justice Advisor Sharhabil Al-Za'een, in the presence of the General Manager of the Palestinian Payment Services Company, Nader Al-Salhi, along with several department directors from both sides.

The new service provides citizens with the ability to pay justice ministry transaction fees via the E-SADAD platform, available in all banking applications and electronic wallets, enabling citizens to settle transaction fees electronically through the platform without the need for cash and without any commissions, thereby contributing to the speed and ease of completing transactions.

Monetary Authority Governor Yahya Shanour pointed to the importance of electronic payment as a secure and effective means especially in the current circumstances, as it helps to reduce reliance on cash and convert government payments into digital payments.

Shanour highlighted the significance of the steps being taken by the Ministry of Justice in the context of automating its work and engaging in digital transformation processes, confirming that the Ministry of Justice’s accession to the E-SADAD platform represents a qualitative addition to the government's efforts to enhance the use of technology in carrying out transactions in official institutions.

For his part, Minister of Justice Advisor Sharhabil Al-Za'een affirmed that the connection with the E-SADAD platform aims to enhance the speed and effectiveness of dealings with citizens, noting the ministry's commitment to providing the highest quality services to citizens.

He mentioned that the signing of the agreement comes as a culmination of ongoing efforts to automate the work of various ministries, stating that this step represents an advanced phase in developing infrastructure and keeping pace with the ongoing digital transformation processes both globally and locally.

It is noteworthy that the E-SADAD platform, overseen by the Monetary Authority and managed by the Palestinian Payment Services Company, continues to expand its services to include various governmental and private institutions, with the aim of promoting an advanced digital financial environment and reducing reliance on cash.
