SadaNews - The Jerusalem Governorate Water Department and the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and joint coordination in the public interest, contributing to supporting the economic sector and developing services provided to citizens and institutions, during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended by the chamber's president, Abdel Ghani Al-Attari, and members of the chamber’s board of directors.

The delegation from the Jerusalem Governorate Water Department was headed by the chairman of the department’s board of directors and the mayor of Al-Bireh, Engineer Munif Tresh, and included the board member and the mayor of Ramallah, Jack Saada, the general director of the department, Engineer Thaer Jaloud, and the director of the public relations department, Fares Al-Maliki.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed several issues of mutual interest, foremost among them ways to enhance communication and cooperation channels between the department and the chamber, ensuring the improvement of services offered to the commercial and industrial sectors, and strengthening partnership with private sector institutions as a key partner in the economic development process.

The president of the chamber, Abdel Ghani Al-Attari, confirmed the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination with the Jerusalem Governorate Water Department, praising the role played by the department in developing water services, and its keenness to communicate with various economic institutions and listen to their needs, observations, and aspirations.

Al-Attari pointed out that providing high-efficiency infrastructure services, foremost among them water services, is one of the fundamental pillars supporting the business and investment environment, affirming the chamber's readiness to enhance aspects of joint cooperation that serve the interests of traders, industrialists, and economic establishment owners.

For his part, the chairman of the board of directors of the Jerusalem Governorate Water Department, Engineer Munif Tresh, confirmed that the department follows a policy based on partnership and openness with various national institutions, stemming from its belief in the importance of integrated work in facing challenges and achieving sustainable development.

Tresh explained that the department continues to implement its plans aimed at developing the water sector's infrastructure and improving the quality of services provided to subscribers, alongside enhancing communication with local community institutions and the private sector, contributing to responding to citizens' needs and various economic sectors.

Meanwhile, the board member of the Jerusalem Governorate Water Department and the mayor of Ramallah, Jack Saada, emphasized that enhancing cooperation between the department and the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry embodies an integrated approach between public service institutions and the economic sector, contributing to improving service quality and enhancing the investment environment. He added that providing stable and efficient water services is one of the essential components supporting local development and encouraging investment, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and dialogue between various national institutions to achieve the public interest and enhance sustainable development.

In his turn, the general director of the department, Engineer Thaer Jaloud, reviewed the most prominent programs and projects the department is working on, and the plans aimed at raising the efficiency of water services, affirming that the department pays special attention to developing mechanisms for communication with subscribers and partner institutions, and enhancing response speed to issues of economic importance.

The meeting witnessed extensive discussions on several common files, and mechanisms to strengthen coordination and cooperation in relevant areas, contributing to improving service quality, facilitating procedures, and supporting the investment environment in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate.

At the end of the meeting, both parties affirmed the importance of continuing periodic meetings and enhancing institutional communication channels, achieving integration between public service institutions and the private sector, and contributing to supporting economic development and improving the level of services provided to citizens and institutions, stressing that effective partnership among various national institutions represents a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development and strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian community.
