Iran: Ongoing Talks with America via Pakistan
SadaNews - On Monday, Iran confirmed that talks with the United States, aimed at ending the war in the Middle East, are ongoing through the Pakistani mediator, despite the recent escalation characterized by the exchange of strikes with Israel.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei said in his weekly press conference: "Diplomatic consultations are naturally ongoing in all circumstances."
This comes after the Israeli army announced that the Air Force bombed several targets in the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, southwest Iran, and launched attacks against military targets in Iran, just hours after Tehran fired missiles towards Israeli territories.
The Israeli army stated that "the Air Force struck military targets belonging to the Iranian regime in western and central Iran."
The army added: "The Air Force attacked military targets in Iran under the direction of the military intelligence agency."
For its part, Iranian television announced that explosions were heard in Tehran, Tabriz, and Isfahan.
The Mehr news agency reported hearing at least two strong explosions in Tehran.
Tasnim news agency also reported explosions occurring in the vicinity of the Iranian city of Karaj.
