Syrian Interior Ministry: New Evidence Reveals the Fate of Rana Al-Abbasi's Children

SadaNews: The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday that the ongoing investigations into the disappearance of Dr. Rana Al-Abbasi's children have reached information and evidence suggesting that the children were killed by groups and militias affiliated with the previous regime.

The ministry stated that the investigations conducted with several detainees, along with information and videos provided by the National Commission for the Missing, contributed to supporting the investigation’s course and enhancing the available evidence in the case.

It added that the preliminary investigations revealed the involvement of Amjad Youssef in the crime, confirming that the competent authorities will continue to complete the investigations, gather evidence, and pursue potential suspects in preparation for taking the necessary legal action against them.

The Ministry of Interior assured that it will inform the public about any new developments as soon as the investigations are completed, expressing its condolences to the victims' families and reaffirming its commitment to uncovering the truth and achieving justice.

Amjad Youssef is considered the main suspect in the massacre in the Al-Tadamon neighborhood of Damascus, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of innocents, and he was arrested by the authorities last April.
