Ramallah and Al-Bireh Forces Call for Expanding Popular Activities Supporting Prisoners and Human Rights Institutions to Protect Them Immediately

SadaNews - The national and Islamic forces in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate affirmed that the fundamental task of the Palestinian people is to confront the occupation's plans aimed at extending its control over the West Bank and creating a permanent separation between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and implementing an ethnic cleansing plan against the Palestinian people.

The forces called in a statement to confront the ongoing plan against Khan al-Ahmar and evacuate the area extending to the Dead Sea and the outskirts of the Jerusalem desert for settlement construction to solidify the status quo. They called for enhancing the Palestinian presence and confronting the settlers' assaults, which are expected to escalate significantly in the upcoming period, according to their statement.

They also confirmed that what is happening in the West Bank is an extension of the same aggressive war and genocide against the Gaza Strip and attempts to re-engineer consciousness to create a new reality that entrenches the concept of occupation, paving the way for tightening the occupation's control, which requires the highest levels of unity and internal cohesion among all, and enhancing the culture of holding onto the land and protecting it, and rallying the ranks of all to repel the aggressors with a solid field unity, and rejecting disagreements of any kind, and expanding popular resistance in all targeted villages and rural areas, according to the statement.

They emphasized that international reports regarding sexual violence, mistreatment, and documented cases of rape by the occupation gangs, and the practices inside prisons and detention centers require tangible and effective international steps to hold the occupying power accountable and stop these crimes. They noted that the secretary-general of the United Nations' decision to impose a boycott on the occupation, which classified Israel on the blacklist, is nothing but a reflection of the occupation's contempt and its disregard for international laws. They called for broad participation in weekly sit-ins in support of prisoners and prisoner women, emphasizing that all Palestinians stand with them, as stated in the statement.

They reiterated the importance of awakening the elements of steadfastness, activating the role of popular protection committees, enhancing the culture of joint work among all, and supporting efforts in Jerusalem to protect the city against ongoing attempts to desecrate the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and introduce sacrifices into its courtyards and perform "prayers" there, provoking the feelings of Muslims and the free people of the world. They called for organizing campaigns to head to Al-Aqsa Mosque and preventing the implementation of occupation schemes there, and working to protect Jerusalemite properties and real estate amid the ongoing demolition crimes being executed by the occupying state against dozens of buildings and properties, including those around Qalandiya camp and the nearby areas, as stated in the statement.
