Ukrainian Drones Target Energy Infrastructure in Russian Volgograd

SadaNews - According to Interfax news agency, quoting the governor of the Russian Volgograd region Andrey Bocharov, Russian defense systems are working to shoot down Ukrainian drones targeting energy infrastructure and civilian infrastructure in the area.

Bocharov added, based on preliminary information, that a residential building was hit but there were no injuries. There is a large refinery in Volgograd operated by Russia's Lukoil energy company.

Meanwhile, a Russian-appointed official managing a Moscow-controlled area in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine stated that an attack by Kyiv using drones killed three workers in the public utilities sector on Thursday.

Dennis Pushilin mentioned in a post on the Telegram app that the workers, who were maintenance crew members from a water supply company, were in a vehicle in Vuhlehirs'k north of Donetsk city when drones struck their vehicle.

A fourth man was seriously injured.

Pushilin reported that four people were injured in separate incidents elsewhere in the Russian-controlled region.

Russia demands Ukraine to relinquish the areas it controls in Donetsk and has stated that it is ready to continue fighting until it completely controls the region. Ukraine rejects this demand.
