Israel announces assassination attempt on Iz al-Din al-Haddad: Martyrs and injuries in airstrikes on Gaza City
SadaNews - Several people were martyred and injured on Friday evening due to a series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli aircraft targeting a residential apartment and a vehicle in the city center of Gaza; meanwhile, Israel announced its attempt to assassinate the commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades, Iz al-Din al-Haddad.
Journalistic sources in the sector confirmed that there were martyrs and more than 20 injuries as a result of the Israeli airstrikes that targeted the Al-Mu’taz building in the Rimal neighborhood, and a vehicle in Al-Wahda Street in western Gaza City, which is believed to have moved from the targeted area.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Security Minister Israel Katz announced in a joint statement that they had instructed the army to carry out airstrikes on Gaza City targeting the commander of Hamas's military wing, Iz al-Din al-Haddad. Israeli reports quoted a security official as saying, "There are initial indications of the success of the assassination operation."
