Hebrew Channel: Zamir visited the UAE and met with Bin Zayed
Translation by SadaNews - The Hebrew channel Kan Reshet revealed on Friday that the Israeli Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, visited the UAE during the war with Iran.
According to the Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, Zamir met with senior Emirati officials, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
It indicated that he was accompanied on the visit to Abu Dhabi by other senior officials from the Israeli army.
This comes two days after the disclosure of a secret visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the UAE, where he met with Bin Zayed.
The UAE denied the news about Netanyahu's visit, while Israel and Western sources confirmed it.
It seems that the UAE fears an Iranian reaction following Netanyahu's visit that took place last March, according to Hebrew Channel 15, which said that Abu Dhabi sent a strong message to Tel Aviv after the visit was revealed.
Western sources as well as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, confirmed that Israel has deployed the Iron Dome system and a small ground force in the UAE to counter Iranian missiles and drones.
