Hebrew Channel: UAE Sent a Strongly Worded Message to Israel
SadaNews Translation - Hebrew channel 15 revealed this Thursday evening that the UAE is very angry about the disclosure by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office regarding his visit to the Arab state.
According to the channel, as translated by SadaNews, the Emirati ambassador to Israel, Mohammed Al-Khaja, sent a strongly worded message to the National Security Council in the Israeli Prime Minister's office regarding the revelation of the visit.
A source familiar with the details stated: "The Emiratis were very angry... This is not the first time that such information has been leaked from the Prime Minister's office, and this is precisely why Netanyahu has been excluded and prevented from visiting the country for years."
According to the channel, Abu Dhabi feels embarrassed following Netanyahu's office announcement.
Despite the Emirati denial last night about the visit, all Israeli media confirm that Netanyahu visited the UAE at the end of March.
According to the Hebrew channel, the reason behind this lies in the sensitivity of the security situation regarding Tehran, especially in light of the attacks carried out by Iran just two weeks ago against oil facilities in Fujairah and Abu Dhabi, and that there is still an ongoing threat.
The UAE seeks to maintain silence and downplay cooperation with Israel, despite a noticeable increase in security coordination in recent months, including the deployment of the "Iron Dome" system, according to the same channel.
Earlier today, Hebrew channel Reshet Kan revealed that a plane carrying prominent Emirati figures landed last night at Ben Gurion Airport for hours and then returned to Abu Dhabi.
