Settlers Completely Demolish "Arab Al-Khuli" and Intensify Attacks in the West Bank

SadaNews - Settlers today, Sunday, demolished more than 50 residential and agricultural structures in the "Arab Al-Khuli" community east of the town of Kafr Thulth, south of Qalqilya, more than two months after forcibly displacing its residents under threat of weapons.

This comes as attacks by settlers and occupation forces continue in various areas of the West Bank, including incursions, arrests, assaults on residents, and demolition and land seizure notices.

The head of Kafr Thulth Municipality, Jihad Awda, stated that settlers demolished more than 50 rooms and structures in the "Arab Al-Khuli" community, which is located east of the town, after forcing residents to leave on February 27 under "the force of arms and threats," despite their presence in the area for more than 120 years.

He explained that the demolished structures included homes for citizens, sheep and cattle pens, as well as furniture, equipment, solar power units, and a water line, noting that some are built of stone while others are made of metal sheets.

He added that the area subjected to demolition and leveling is estimated at about 30 dunams, while the area of the "Arab Al-Khuli" community is about 1,700 dunams, pointing out that the area has been subjected to repeated attacks by settlers, the last of which occurred two days ago when a young man was assaulted in the southern region of the town.

In the Palestinian valleys, the Bader Human Rights Organization reported that settlers raided this morning the area of Arab Al-Kaabneh, north of the town of Al-Nu'eima, northwest of Jericho, and assaulted the residents and their property.

The organization stated that settlers detained a number of residents and assaulted them, also vandalizing property and stealing cash and gold jewelry, creating a state of fear and tension among the families, emphasizing that these assaults represent "a serious escalation targeting the safety and stability of citizens."

In Jenin, Israeli occupation forces issued a notice to seize about seven dunams of land in the Jabriyat area overlooking Jenin camp, "for colonial purposes," according to local sources.

The sources added that occupation bulldozers began, this morning, to pave a road in lands located between the towns of Anin and Silat al-Harithiya, passing through the lands of Khirbat Saruj, which had received notices of seizure last April.

According to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli authorities carried out 37 demolition operations during last April, targeting 78 structures, including inhabited homes and agricultural facilities, in addition to issuing dozens of demolition notices.

The West Bank has seen a continuous escalation since the start of the war on Gaza in October 2023, including killings, arrests, demolitions, and settlement expansion, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,155 Palestinians and injuries to about 11,750 others, in addition to the detention of nearly 22,000 people, according to official Palestinian data.
