West Bank: Injuries and Arrests During Wide and Daily Occupation Raids

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-ranging raid campaign in the West Bank during the dawn and morning of Wednesday, resulting in the arrest of dozens of Palestinians, including women, children, and released prisoners, along with reports of injuries and cases of suffocation during clashes that broke out in several areas.

Human rights institutions reported that the occupation forces arrested at least 17 Palestinians during this campaign, including three women, after raiding their homes in various cities and towns.

In Nablus, the occupation forces carried out a wide raid campaign targeting several neighborhoods, including Krom Ashour, Amman Street, the university, Sufyan, and Al-Sikka Street, arresting six citizens, including Hamed and Muhammad Al-Qouqa, Muath Ghandoor, Yahya Al-Nabulsi, Ezzeddin Al-Hanawi, and Abdul Rahman Jadallah.

The forces also raided the town of Qusra southeast of Nablus and arrested two young men after storming their homes, while arrests extended to the city of Al-Bireh north of Ramallah, where a mother and her daughter were detained, alongside a young man from the Jalazone refugee camp.

In Ramallah and its surroundings, the arrests included several towns, including Al-Lubban Al-Gharbi and Aboud, where citizens were detained after their homes were stormed and searched.

In Bethlehem, occupation forces arrested a number of young men and teenagers after raiding their homes in various neighborhoods of the city and its towns, including high school students and young men from the areas of Wadi Ma'ali, Al-Manara, Al-Khader, and Tuqu‘.

As for Hebron, occupation forces stormed the town of Al-Dhahiriya and the Al-Arroub camp, arresting a citizen and a young man after storming their homes and assaulting them and their families, in addition to erecting military checkpoints and closing main and secondary roads around the city.

In occupied Jerusalem, the occupation authorities handed a decision to ban one of the employees of the Islamic Waqf Department from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque for six months, while incursions continued in several neighborhoods and towns surrounding Ramallah and Jerusalem.

During the incursions, the occupation forces fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets at the young men, leading to injuries and cases of suffocation, amidst the continued search and field detention operations for hours.
