Mustafa Meets with Several European and International Officials in Brussels

SadaNews - Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa met today, Monday, on the sidelines of the donor meetings and the international coalition to implement the two-state solution, with several European and international officials, in the presence of Minister of Finance and Planning Istephan Salameh, and Palestine's Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union, Amal Jado Shqqa.

The meetings included the Deputy Prime Minister and Belgian Foreign Minister Maxim Prevost, the EU representative for foreign affairs, Kaia Kalas, the EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Suica, the UK Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, Hamish Falconer, and the UN Special Coordinator for Gaza, Nikolai Mladenov.

Mustafa reviewed the latest field developments and the deteriorating humanitarian and social conditions in Palestine, amidst the continued occupation procedures in the West Bank, imposing restrictions on freedom of movement, daily incursions and settler violence, land confiscations for the sake of settlement expansion, and withholding Palestinian tax revenues for nearly a year, in addition to the difficult conditions in the Gaza Strip, the worsening humanitarian crisis, and shortage of supplies.

Regarding the Gaza Strip, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of implementing Security Council Resolution 2803 and relevant international resolutions, doubling humanitarian efforts, restoring stability, preparing for reconstruction, and unifying Gaza and the West Bank under the State of Palestine, according to one system, law, and legitimate authority, and enabling the Palestinian Authority to fully assume its responsibilities in the sector.

Mustafa called for serious and effective international intervention to stop all Israeli measures that undermine Palestinian efforts, including the release of withheld Palestinian funds.
