Fatah in Poland Commemorates Prisoners' Day
SadaNews - The Fatah Movement - Poland, in collaboration with the Polish Coalition to Support Palestine, commemorated Palestinian Prisoners' Day through events organized in the five largest Polish cities. Banners were raised denouncing execution law proposals and demanding the release of all freedom prisoners. Photos of the imprisoned leader Marwan Barghouti were also displayed, along with calls to present the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the International Criminal Court and demanding the severance of ties with the occupying entity.
Participants chanted a unified slogan: “No freedom without the freedom of Palestine.”
Dr. Muhammad Saleh, the head of the Palestinian community in the Republic of Poland and Secretary of the Fatah Movement - Poland, emphasized the need to intensify efforts and exert pressure on the European Parliament and EU countries to work seriously for the release of Palestinian prisoners, who suffer from inhumane detention conditions that amount, in general, to war crimes.
He pointed out that there are documented testimonies from prisoners and international organizations confirming the extent of the violations and torture they are subjected to, which have, in many cases, led to permanent disabilities, and even the martyrdom of some within the occupation's prisons.
