Ministry of Education: Rescheduling of End-of-Semester Exams
SadaNews - The spokesperson for the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Sadiq Al-Khudur, stated, "It has been decided to reschedule the dates of the end-of-semester exams for the second semester, so that all of them will take place after the Eid al-Adha holiday, instead of previously distributing them between before and after the holiday."
Al-Khudur explained in statements to the official "Wafa" agency that this measure comes as part of compensating for the school week that was postponed at the beginning of the academic year, and that the additional period allocated for the exams serves as a substitute for that week.
He added that the ministry was keen to delay the dates of the end-of-semester exams to ensure the completion of the necessary compensation, noting that the period following the Eid al-Adha holiday will be exclusively dedicated to holding the exams.
He confirmed that the dates for the General Secondary School examinations will remain as previously scheduled, starting on June 20, 2026, in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
