National and Islamic Forces Emphasize the Importance of Unity and Escalation of Activities in Rejection of Occupation Crimes and the Execution Law for Prisoners
SadaNews - The leadership of the national and Islamic forces held a leadership meeting to discuss the latest political developments and internal issues, emphasizing a set of national positions in light of the escalating challenges faced by the Palestinian people.
The forces emphasized the importance of wider participation in the Palestinian Prisoners' Day activities, rejecting the policies of medical neglect, torture, and isolation faced by the prisoners. They noted the increase in the number of martyrs from the prisoner movement inside the occupation's prisons to nearly ninety prisoners since the start of the genocide war, in addition to a large number of prisoners from the Gaza Strip who are subjected to severe violations, especially in secret detention centers.
They stressed that this year's commemoration of Prisoners' Day gains exceptional importance in light of the passing of the law to execute prisoners, considering it a racist law that violates international laws and charters. They called for maximum participation in central activities in the northern and southern governorates and refugee camps and diaspora, under the slogan: "Abolish the Law of Executing Prisoners and Reject Policies of Torture, Isolation, and Medical Neglect."
In another context, the forces warned of the escalation of crimes committed by settlers against citizens in towns and villages near the settlements, supported by the occupation government and protected by its army. They pointed out that 37 citizens have been martyred due to these assaults since the beginning of the war. They called for an international boycott and accountability for the occupation and to strengthen the resilience of citizens through popular protection committees.
They also reaffirmed their rejection of colonial expansion policies, especially in light of announcements regarding plans to build dozens of new settlements, demanding that the international community take practical actions to isolate the occupation government and hold its leaders accountable for their crimes.
Regarding the holy sites, the forces alerted to the danger of ongoing assaults on Islamic and Christian sanctities, including the prolonged closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and the harassment of worshippers. They called for urgent action to protect them and to strengthen the resilience of citizens in Jerusalem.
They reiterated the importance of embodying Palestinian national unity in confronting current dangers amid the ongoing policies of killing and destruction in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause. They emphasized the necessity of rallying around the Palestine Liberation Organization as the legitimate and sole representative of the Palestinian people.
In conclusion, the forces congratulated the Arab Liberation Front on the occasion of the anniversary of its inception, praising its role in the Palestinian revolution and its commitment to national unity and independent national decision-making.
