Military Expert: These Indicators Suggest an Escalation by the U.S. After the Deadline

SadaNews - As the deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump for Iran approaches, expectations and scenarios are rising regarding the path that the ongoing war in the Middle East has taken since February 28: Will it escalate or will there be a de-escalation?

Trump has threatened Tehran with the destruction of all power stations and bridges if negotiations fail and it refrains from opening the Strait of Hormuz. He later renewed his threat to send Iran back to the 'Stone Age' if it did not agree to a deal before the deadline on Tuesday at 8 PM Eastern Time.

Iran claims it has communicated its response to Pakistan regarding the U.S. proposal to end the war, rejecting a ceasefire and emphasizing the necessity for a permanent resolution to the war, as reported by the Iranian news agency "IRNA".

Military and strategic expert Colonel Nidal Abu Zaid views certain military indicators on the ground suggesting that President Donald Trump is edging toward escalation.

Among these indicators is the increased pace of American and Israeli bombardments of Iranian regions during the night and today, which he termed a "cleaning phase" of the Iranian ground "from what remains of air defense systems" and "clearing the skies of drone aircraft".

Colonel Abu Zaid linked the signs of American escalation to movements on the ground, including the arrival of the 141st Brigade, which is the U.S. strategic artillery brigade and is considered one of the firepower brigades of the U.S. Central Command, as well as the arrival of advanced stealth air-to-ground missiles weighing 910 kilograms with a range of up to 950 kilometers.

These missiles were transferred from the stockpile of the Indian and Pacific Command to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Central Command, as the military and strategic expert stated.

Furthermore, "B-1" bombers have begun moving from airports in Europe, in addition - Colonel Abu Zaid continued - to the U.S. Central Command disseminating pictures of "B-52" bombers with a note stating "under maintenance".

Destruction and Chaos

The Americans are pushing these military reinforcements in anticipation of what Iran will decide after Trump's deadline, and Colonel Abu Zaid predicts that the United States will opt for military action if negotiations with Iran fail, pointing out that "this time the American president decided decisively to turn Iran into a failed state by destroying its institutions and spreading chaos, making it unable even to provide basic services".

Conversely, Iran has begun to speak of what Colonel Abu Zaid termed a "fire domino effect," indicating that it is preparing to respond to the American attack, but he noted that "Iranian air defenses are in their worst state" and that "the Israeli side enters Iranian airspace and strikes wherever it pleases".

The Iranian Central Military Command warned on Monday of a "more devastating" retaliation if civil targets were attacked again, stating through a spokesman from the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya published by the official Iranian Broadcasting and Television Agency on Telegram, "If attacks on civil targets are repeated, the following stages of our offensive and retaliatory operations will be more destructive and broader in scope".

It is noted that Iran today continued its targeting of Israeli areas, as missile fragments fell in at least 10 locations in central Israel due to Iranian bombardment, according to Israeli media reports.
