Palestinian Ambassador to Australia Receives Delegation from Fatah Movement and Labor Union, Affirms Support for State Recognition Efforts
SadaNews - On Monday, Dr. Amjad Abu Al-Az, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, received a delegation from the Fatah Movement - Australia Region and the Palestinian Workers' Union - Australia Branch, headed by Bashir Suwaileh, to offer congratulations on his assumption of diplomatic duties in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific region. The embassy delegation included First Advisor Nora Saleh and Third Secretary Dana Al-Sha'er.
Abu Al-Az welcomed the union delegation, emphasizing the important role that the Palestinian Workers' Union in Australia plays and the necessity of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the embassy and the union to serve the interests of the Palestinian community across Australia.
Abu Al-Az reaffirmed the embassy's commitment to supporting Palestinian unity and enhancing the rights of the Palestinian people, particularly the right to self-determination and the realization of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, noting that the embassy's doors in Canberra will remain open to all members of the community.
For its part, the Palestinian Workers' Union delegation expressed its full support for the efforts of the Palestinian Embassy in Australia, particularly in its endeavors to establish Australian recognition of the State of Palestine and enhance its presence on the international stage.
