Morocco: Palestinian Startups Participate in "GITEX Africa" Exhibition with Support from "Bayt Mal Al-Quds"
SadaNews - Six Palestinian startups in the fields of innovation and creativity are participating in the fourth edition of the "GITEX Africa" exhibition, which will be held in Marrakech starting next Tuesday, with support from the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, affiliated with the Jerusalem Committee, headed by Moroccan King Mohammed VI.
The agency is once again participating in this event for the third consecutive year with financial contributions from the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform of the Kingdom of Morocco, through an institutional pavilion and a dedicated space for the "BMAQ Innovation Hub" incubator.
The participating Palestinian companies were selected based on precise criteria developed in cooperation with a specialized team from Al-Quds University.
This year's companies are focused on specialties such as psychological evaluation supported by artificial intelligence to guide career paths through the "Burhan" platform, and the digitalization of nursery services to enhance communication between educators and parents through the "App Grow" application.
Also participating is the "HowAISees" platform, which employs artificial intelligence to improve e-commerce and marketing experiences, alongside the "Labebo" project, which offers innovative solutions in remote therapy and rehabilitation for children using interactive 3D technologies.
The "QREDIT" platform, providing digital payment services for small and medium enterprises, is also present, as well as the "Hives 360" system, based on the Internet of Things to develop beekeeping and improve productivity through smart monitoring and data analysis.
The agency's pavilion will host a series of professional activities throughout the exhibition, which runs until April 9, 2026, including presentations from participating companies and bilateral meetings with Moroccan and international stakeholders to explore partnership opportunities and market openness.
On this occasion, the agency confirmed that this participation represents "a qualitative opportunity to enhance the role of Palestinian companies in supporting economic and social development, especially in the city of Jerusalem, in line with the goals of its digital strategy for the period 2024-2027."
It added that this step reflects its direction towards "entrenching its commitment to economically empowering Palestinian youth and opening new horizons for them in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship by providing international platforms that allow them to showcase their projects and build strategic partnerships."
It is worth noting that the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency launched its strategy in the field of digitization, innovation, and renewal in 2024 under the slogan: "Digital Development in Service of Economic and Social Development in Jerusalem."
This strategy is based on five main pillars, including: the "Bayt Al-Maghrib in Jerusalem" platform to document the city's human heritage, an incubator for emerging projects in the fields of innovation and creativity,
the "Dalalah" platform for e-commerce and solidarity, a comprehensive system for distance education, in addition to the "Haya" applications directed at children and youth to enhance awareness of the virtues of Al-Quds.
To date, 34 Palestinian startups have benefited from the agency's innovation and renewal incubator programs, with some successfully reaching acceleration phases and partnerships, while other startups have managed to enter markets.
