The Palestinian Community in Bremen Organizes a Solidarity Vigil with Prisoners in Cooperation with German Institutions

SadaNews - The Palestinian community in the German city of Bremen and its suburbs organized a solidarity vigil today, Saturday, in collaboration with German institutions and parties, supporting Palestinian prisoners and rejecting the recently passed execution law for prisoners by the Israeli Knesset.

The vigil witnessed participation from German activists and representatives from various institutions and parties, where participants raised Palestinian flags and banners demanding freedom for the prisoners and an end to punitive policies, foremost among them the death penalty law.

Deitlif Grisch, president of the German-Palestinian Association and former parliament member from the Social Democratic Party of Germany, participated in the vigil.

Participants called for European governments to take action to pressure Israel to stop these laws, considering them to be contrary to the principles of human rights and international law.

The president of the Palestinian community, the vice president of the German-Palestinian Association, Mr. Samer Bilal Aslan, stated that current Israeli policies, including this law, represent a dangerous escalation against the prisoners, urging Palestinian communities worldwide to take action and organize protest events to deliver the prisoners' voices to the international community.
