SadaNews - Kuwait announced the arrest of a cell linked to Iran, while Bahrain revealed the referral of spies collaborating with Tehran to the judiciary, as part of ongoing efforts to confront attempts to interfere and destabilize security and stability in the region, and to harm the paramount interests of the countries. Meanwhile, Gulf defenses continued to repel Iranian missiles and drones.

The Saudi "air defenses" destroyed 37 drones in the Eastern Province on Thursday, according to Major General Turki Al-Malki, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense.

Kuwait

In Kuwait, air defense systems confronted missile attacks and hostile drones that breached the country’s airspace. The Kuwaiti National Guard announced the downing of two drones over the sites of responsibility secured by the task force.

Brigadier Jadaan Fadel, the official spokesman for the Kuwaiti National Guard, clarified in a press release on Thursday that this action comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and protect vital sites, as well as counter any potential threats, calling on everyone to adhere to security and safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

Kuwait announced the foiling of a terrorist plot and the arrest of a network comprising several Kuwaitis linked to the "Hezbollah" organization, which planned to carry out assassination operations targeting symbols and leaders of the state, and recruiting individuals to undertake these tasks, jeopardizing the paramount interests of the country, following the dismantling of a cell belonging to the same organization days prior.

The "Kuwaiti Interior" stated that the State Security Agency foiled, after precise security monitoring and tracking operations, a terrorist plot; a network consisting of 5 citizens and one non-Kuwaiti, whose nationalities had been revoked, was arrested, and 14 escaping suspects outside the country were identified (5 citizens and 5 non-Kuwaitis whose nationalities had been revoked, two Iranians, and others from Lebanon).

It clarified that it was established that the suspects were connected to the terrorist "Hezbollah" organization, banned in the country, and the network, according to information from the "Interior," had planned to carry out assassination operations targeting symbols and leaders of the state, and to recruit individuals for these tasks. Furthermore, the suspects confessed to espionage and joining the terrorist organization, expressing their readiness to carry out assassination missions against symbols and leaders of the state, harm the paramount interests of the country, and stated that they received advanced military training abroad from members and leaders of the terrorist organization, which included the use of weapons, explosives, surveillance techniques, and assassination skills, "in a blatant betrayal of the homeland and a clear violation of loyalty and belonging."

The "Kuwaiti Interior" previously apprehended on March 18 a terrorist cell aimed at vital facilities comprising 10 individuals affiliated with the "Hezbollah" organization, less than 48 hours after announcing the arrest of a terrorist group belonging to the organization, comprising 16 individuals who aimed to destabilize security in the country and recruit people to join it.

Bahrain

The general command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced that air defense systems intercepted a missile and 19 drones, affirming their continuation in facing consecutive waves of Iranian terrorist assaults; 154 missiles and 350 drones targeting the country have been intercepted and destroyed since the start of the brutal aggression.

For the third time, authorities in Bahrain managed to arrest cells accused of espionage with Iran; on Thursday, authorities referred 14 suspects for espionage with the Iranian "Revolutionary Guard" to the Criminal Court, revealing that some of the suspects escaped to Iran and formed separate espionage cells, after previously disclosing the referral of two cells collaborating with Iran to target the country.

It reported that the suspects provided assistance, received, and delivered funds to support operations against the country, emphasizing that the "Revolutionary Guard" assigned them tasks to send photos and information.

Manama indicated that the Iranian "Revolutionary Guard" used the information provided by the suspects in its assaults against the country, adding that one of the suspects photographed and sent coordinates of vital sites to the "Revolutionary Guard."

The "Bahraini Interior" had previously announced on March 12 the arrest of 4 citizens and the identification of a fifth "fugitive abroad" for collaborating with the Iranian "Revolutionary Guard" through terrorist elements based in Iran, just two days after announcing the arrest of 6 individuals for posting video clips related to the consequences of the Iranian aggression, sympathizing with it, glorifying its hostile actions, spreading false news, and inciting attacks on sites in the country.

On Thursday morning, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced that civil defense had controlled a fire at one of the facilities in Muharraq Governorate without injuries following an overt Iranian aggression.
