"Education" and Civil Defense Discuss the Possibility of Resuming School Attendance Under Current Conditions
SadaNews - Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Civil Defense Directorate discussed the public safety situation under the current circumstances and the possibility of resuming student attendance in the upcoming period.
This was during a meeting attended by Minister of Education and Higher Education Amjad Barham, Director General of Civil Defense Major General Akram Thwabat, as well as several assistant deputies, general directors, and officials from Civil Defense.
According to a statement from the ministry, the meeting addressed risk assessment and the study of available options to ensure a safe return to the educational process when the appropriate conditions are met; mechanisms to enhance safety procedures within schools; and ways to increase readiness to deal with emergencies, ensuring the protection of students and teachers in the event of resuming attendance.
Both parties emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and integration, and making the right decisions based on an accurate assessment of the reality, prioritizing public safety.
The meeting also discussed the procedures related to public safety in the event of a return to in-person attendance, ensuring the highest levels of safety for students and teachers, and agreed to remain in continual session, closely monitoring developments as they unfold.
