The 24th Day of War.. Intense Shelling Exchange Between Israel and Iran
SadaNews - The early hours of Tuesday witnessed an escalation in attacks between Iran and Israel, with both sides exchanging missile and aerial strikes on the 24th day of the war.
Iranian news agencies reported explosions in the capital Tehran early Monday, while Israel announced it had launched a series of new strikes.
The Mehr news agency stated on Telegram, "Sounds of explosions were heard in Tehran," while the Fars agency reported that airstrikes targeted 5 areas in Tehran where "terrifying explosion sounds were reported. "
An hour after the reports, a thick column of black smoke was seen rising from an area in eastern Tehran, according to a correspondent for AFP.
For its part, the Israeli army announced that it had launched "a wide wave of attacks on the infrastructure of the Iranian terrorist regime in Tehran."
The Israeli army also announced that it was intercepting missiles fired from Iran towards Israel.
It stated on Telegram that it had "detected missiles launched from Iran towards the territory of the State of Israel. Defense systems are working to intercept this threat."
Loud explosions were heard in Tel Aviv, where a series of attacks hit several locations earlier on Sunday.
Israel and the United States are carrying out attacks aimed at eliminating Iran's military and nuclear capabilities.
The attacks have also resulted in the assassination of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei and several senior political and military leaders.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Iran can no longer enrich uranium or produce ballistic missiles.
He added that Iran has become "weaker than ever" and that attacks on Iran will continue "for as long as necessary." Meanwhile, Iran is responding by launching attacks targeting Israel and U.S. military bases in Gulf countries, though these attacks have caused damage to civilian objects, including airports, ports, oil facilities, and multiple buildings, according to official reports from the affected countries.
