Israel Attacks Iranian Navy Sites in the Caspian Sea and Iran Launches Missiles Towards the Country
SadaNews - The Israeli army attacked Iranian naval ships in the Caspian Sea on Wednesday, announcing that it conducted airstrikes for the first time on targets in northern Iran since the start of the war. Meanwhile, the Iranian Ministry of Health reported the deaths of 206 and injuries to 1,401 individuals under the age of 18, along with the deaths of 18 healthcare workers, and damage to 180 medical centers since the onset of the conflict.
Israeli data indicated on Wednesday evening that more than 400 out of approximately 850 missiles launched from Iran towards Israel since the start of the war were equipped with cluster warheads.
According to the data, these missiles constitute more than half of the total missiles fired during the attacks, indicating widespread use of this type of munitions in recent strikes.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israel and the U.S. carried out joint airstrikes on energy facilities by targeting gas infrastructure in southern Iran. Iranian media reported an Israeli-American attack on petrochemical facilities in the South Pars field. Israeli reports later on Wednesday suggested that the strikes targeting gas facilities in Iran were conducted in close coordination between Israel and the United States, as a message aimed at showcasing the capability to expand the targeting scope, with precise control over the objectives and the limits of operations, to avoid direct repercussions on oil markets.
