Rome Hosts a Humanitarian Artistic Evening to Support Palestinian Children

SadaNews - The Palestinian Red Crescent Friends Association in Rome, in collaboration with the Palestinian community in Italy, organized an annual artistic event in Rome to support Palestinian children and help them live in peace in their homeland through the ongoing activities of the Palestinian Red Crescent aimed at aiding and relieving our people in Palestine.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Youssef Salman, the head of the community, who delivered a speech addressing the current situation of the Palestinian cause and the tensions in the Middle East, especially following the ceasefire in Gaza and the recent events in Iran and Lebanon, where Israel continues to target and besiege our people in Gaza and the West Bank through bombings, incursions, daily killings of innocents, and barriers that hinder relief aid.

A number of distinguished figures attended and shared their words expressing complete support for the rights of Palestinian children and their people's just cause, including the famous Italian actress Anna Folicita, Marina Pierlorenzi, president of the Veterans Organization, Maura Cosuta, president of the International Women's Center, and Angela Scalzo, president of the European Movement Against Racism.

This gathering featured Aliria Giovanatzu and Tawfiq Qalilat reciting poems by the great Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish and poets of resistance, before a group of artists presented musical performances that included classical music, piano playing, and epic singing.

The evening concluded with the presentation of a variety of Palestinian dishes and sweets that were well-received by the audience in an experience that combined art, culture, and humanitarian support.
