Occupation Tightens Military Measures in Ramallah and Nablus

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces closed several entrances to towns north of Ramallah and south of Nablus early this Friday morning.

Local sources reported that the occupation's bulldozers closed the main entrance to the town of Sinjl north of Ramallah with dirt mounds, while closing secondary roads in the plain of the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya south of Nablus. They also closed the road connecting the town of Qabalan with the villages of Sayyya and Yittma to the south.

Additionally, the occupation forces intensified their military measures in the vicinity of the city of Nablus.

Local sources indicated that the occupation forces closed both the "Al-Murabba" gate and the Deir Sharaf roundabout west of Nablus, causing a severe traffic jam in the area and trapping thousands of citizens near the military checkpoints for hours throughout the night.

They added that the occupation forces closed the Burin gate south of Nablus, along with the Hawara gates, and prevented exits from the city through the Awarta military checkpoint.

The Beit Furik checkpoint is also witnessing thorough inspections of vehicles and scrutiny of citizens' identities, leading to a severe congestion after it was closed for hours, trapping citizens for long periods at the checkpoint.

The sources noted that the occupation forces closed several gates of the villages east of Nablus, isolating them from their surroundings and from each other.

It is worth mentioning that all these towns and villages are closed with iron gates at their main entrances, while the occupation continues to close any secondary or dirt roads that citizens try to take.
