Civil Organizations: Demand a Wide International Campaign to Stop the War Immediately and Warn Against Exploiting It to Implement Forced Relocation Plans
SadaNews - In light of the expanding scope of the aggressive war initiated by the United States in partnership with the occupying state against Iran and the Middle East for the fourth consecutive day, in a serious violation of international law and international legitimacy decisions, and without the authorization or consent of the United Nations or its institutions, this unilateral and condemned act legally and morally targets a sovereign state that is a member of the United Nations. This could consolidate the principle of (the law of the jungle), continuing the same approach in the genocide war against the Palestinian people that has been ongoing since October 2023, and the same bullying that the United States has employed in many countries worldwide, most recently what occurred in Venezuela based on pillaging the resources, wealth, and treasures of peoples, making them subordinate and preventing them from exercising their sovereign rights over their borders and natural resources.
The network of Palestinian civil organizations calls for extensive international and popular mobilization to stop this American-Israeli aggression and the threat to regional countries and the manipulation of their peoples' destinies. With the addition of new European countries to the war and the escalation of aggression against Lebanon within a brutal war that threatens international security and stability as a whole. They demand the following:
- Calling for an urgent meeting of all official, civil, and popular Palestinian components and forming emergency committees in all governorates to protect the Palestinian presence, continuing the occupation's measures of closures and restrictions on movement and mobility, tightening the grip on various aspects of life expected to escalate under an economically suffocating crisis during the holy month of Ramadan. They demand an immediate lifting of the siege on the Gaza Strip, allowing the entry of aid and food. They also call for controlling the local market, providing various essential products for citizens, and taking measures to punish violators.
- Working to secure the steadfastness of citizens on Palestinian land, with concerns about implementing plans for displacement and ethnic cleansing practiced by the occupying state in the occupied Palestinian territories, while global attention is preoccupied with what is happening in the aggressive war against Iran; the occupying state sees this as an opportunity to implement these plans, necessitating immediate actions within a comprehensive, participatory national response plan among all sectors based on a work agenda that defines national priorities to secure citizens' needs and provide them with a safety net.
- Calling on the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian National Authority to work at the international level and with all international bodies to take tangible practical measures to protect the Palestinian people under occupation in light of extremely dangerous conditions and the major transformations occurring in the region, and to explain the underlying dimensions behind the occupying plans for the displacement of our people.
- Launching more grassroots and community initiatives from civil society institutions to promote cooperative economy and home gardening based on self-reliance through collective initiatives in various villages and rural areas and building models capable of steadfastness and developing survival tools amidst the present challenges.
