The Jerusalem House of Money Agency's Ramadan Campaign Supports Healthcare and Social Institutions and Distributes "Coupons"
SadaNews - The Jerusalem House of Money Agency, affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee headed by King Mohammed VI, continued to implement its annual social assistance campaign for the month of Ramadan in the year 1447 AH, through a field program covering various neighborhoods of the holy city and its social and health institutions.
As part of the adopted plan for this year, the agency's teams began distributing food packages designated for social centers and healthcare institutions hosting patients, including the Maqasid Charity Hospital, ensuring that meals are provided for patients and their companions during the holy month.
In parallel, the field teams continue daily, just before Iftar, to distribute Iftar meals to visitors of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, alongside ongoing distributions in the Takiya centers, Bedouin gatherings, and villages in the Jerusalem Governorate, reflecting a philanthropic approach that takes into account the various beneficiary categories.
In support of health institutions, the Deputy Director of Maqasid Hospital, Dr. Adnan Farhood, expressed his gratitude to the Jerusalem House of Money Agency and, at its head, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in appreciation for the continuous assistance provided by the agency, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
Farhood explained that the aid received by the hospital will directly contribute to providing meals for patients, their companions, and staff, pointing out that the largest portion will be allocated to patients and their companions, given the difficult economic conditions that the city is experiencing. He also expressed his appreciation to the Kingdom of Morocco, its king, government, and people, for their ongoing support for Jerusalem's institutions and vital sectors.
For his part, the Deputy Administrative Director of the hospital, Omar Al-Da’is, confirmed that the agency's initiative reflects a steadfast commitment to Jerusalem and its institutions, indicating that this initiative has become a firmly established annual tradition symbolizing a continuous humanitarian presence in the city. He added that these efforts reflect a genuine spirit of generosity and responsibility, hoping for their continuation due to the direct positive impact they have on needy groups.
In the Old City of Jerusalem, the agency continues to distribute "coupons" for Ramadan baskets to institutions and social committees, allowing beneficiary families to obtain their basic needs flexibly while preserving their dignity and respecting their privacy.
A member of the social committee in the Old City, Ahed Al-Rashq, confirmed that the city's residents appreciate the continuous efforts exerted by the agency to support the steadfastness of Jerusalemites, praising this year's campaign, which targets underprivileged families, especially within the walls of the Old City, considering that this support extends from years of regular giving.
For her part, Nadera Bzebz, Director of the Arab Association for the Blind in the Old City, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the agency for including the blind community on the lists of beneficiaries for food parcels and aid.
She explained that the majority of the blind suffer from unemployment or lack of a provider, making them rely on the material and in-kind support provided by the association, confirming that this initiative contributes to alleviating their burdens and enhancing their living stability.
Hayat Al-Zughayer, from the Um Leisoon Women’s Association in Jerusalem, also expressed her appreciation for the agency's ongoing support for underprivileged families and orphans, affirming that its interventions constitute a real leverage to enhance the resilience of Jerusalemite families, especially in peripheral neighborhoods. She praised the agency's continuous communication and ongoing interaction with local institutions and their evolving needs.
In this context, Muhammad Al-Sayyad, President of the Noor Al-Ilm Association for the Blind, confirmed the importance of this assistance in light of the current conditions, pointing out that large segments of the Jerusalemite community are in urgent need of this type of support that alleviates living burdens and enhances resilience.
Last week, the Jerusalem House of Money Agency launched its annual social assistance campaign in honor of the holy month of Ramadan in the year 1447 AH, under the supervision of the director responsible for managing the agency, Muhammad Salem Al-Sharqawi.
This year's campaign program includes the distribution of five thousand food baskets containing 22 types of essential goods and providing supplies to prepare around 20,000 Iftar meals daily, in addition to Eid Al-Fitr clothing for 500 orphans, and organizing religious, cultural, and training programs, as part of a comprehensive vision that consolidates the values of solidarity and supports the steadfastness of Jerusalemites in their city.
