Khamenei: Trump's Pre-Determination of Negotiation Outcomes is a Mistake and Folly
SadaNews - Concurrent with the start of the round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran in Geneva, the Iranian leader emphasized that American destroyers are "dangerous without a doubt," but added that "the weapon capable of sinking them is more dangerous." He asserted that the world's strongest army can sometimes be subjected to a "decisive blow," stressing that the Islamic Republic "will not be destroyed."
In discussing the American stance, Khamenei described the attempts by the U.S. president and some senators to pre-determine the outcome of the negotiations as "folly."
He stated that the U.S. president "sometimes threatens and other times says that this must be done and that must not be done," considering the aim to be "domination over the Iranian people."
He added that the Iranian people are "well-versed in the teachings of Islam and Shiism," and that calls for negotiating over nuclear energy ultimately aim to "deprive Iran of this energy."
He insisted that negotiations cannot take place "when the outcome is predetermined," describing it as "a mistake and folly."
