Expanding the Scope of Biometric Services to Include the Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Kingdom of Sweden
SadaNews - As part of the ongoing expansion to introduce biometric services at Palestinian embassies and missions in accordance with the government’s plan, teams from the Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs, and Emigrants have completed the installation and operation of the biometric service system at the Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Kingdom of Sweden, facilitating the issuance and renewal of biometric passports for members of the Palestinian community.
This system contributes to enhancing the efficiency of consular performance and improving the accuracy and security of the official documents issued, in accordance with internationally approved standards, positively reflecting on the quality of services provided to citizens.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that this step came as part of the cooperation, coordination, and integration of roles with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, and within a comprehensive government program to expand the scope of biometric services in several Palestinian embassies and missions worldwide, keeping pace with modern technological developments in travel and identity verification systems, and contributing to improving the service recipients’ experience.
